Warm European Feel
This room was designed to be a place where the owners and their family could relax and unwind together. The room is warmed by floor-to-ceiling cherry bookshelves along one wall and tall cherry cabinetry opposite. A wood burning stove and unique wood railings complete the space's charm.

Spacious Retreat
As vice president for an international retailer this owner frequently travels around the world. He wanted to come home to a refuge that was the antithesis of a cramped airline cabin. By removing the interior walls between the kitchen and living areas we created a large, open, combined kitchen and living space that the owner could come home to and unwind in. French doors let in the light while walnut floors and floor-to-ceiling cabinets add character and functionality to the space.

Wine Cellar
A collector of wines and champagnes, the homeowner called on our Design/Build firm to convert an existing room into a professional quality wine cellar to house over 5,000 bottles. Foundation walls were furred to create a separate cooling zone within the home. Red wood cedar racking wraps the perimeter of the room while an island serves as a “tasting table” topped in granite. Tuscan style light fixtures highlight the quartz inlay tile rug on the floor. Large framed maps of the Bordeaux region of France are hung with pride on the only wall space not covered in racking.

Bright Basement
Our clients wanted to finish the walkout basement in their 10-year old home. They were looking for a family room, craft area, bathroom and a space to transform into a “guest room” for the occasional visitor. They wanted a space that could handle a crowd of young children, provide lots of storage and was bright and colorful. The result is a beautiful space featuring custom cabinets, a kitchenette, a craft room, and a large open area for play and entertainment. Cleanup is a snap with durable surfaces and movable storage, and the furniture is easy for children to rearrange.

Craftsman Fireplace
The owners of this 1909 Tudor Craftsman have spent the last twelve years bringing vintage details into their home. One of the last remaining projects was the fireplace, an important part of their living room where every inch mattered. The fireplace surround and hearth were replaced with vintage tile. The mantle and brick chimney were designed and finished to fit the existing style. The renewed fireplace sits so seamlessly into the room that when friends come over to visit they are unable to tell what has changed - which was exactkt what the owners wanted from this project.

Three Season Porch
This three season porch was designed to give the feel of a summer cabin while remaining usable in spring and fall. Durable, low-maintenance materials like ironwood, cedar, and bluestone reduce upkeep and add to the rustic aesthetic.

Attic Expansion and Finish
The goal of this project was to provide a master suite for the owner. Attic space formerly used only for storage was finished with red birch flooring and a collonnade of douglas fir posts which add beauty and support the roof.

Cottage Addition
This living room is a part of a contrasting cottage addition to a turn-of-the-century foursquare. White custom cabinets and cherry woodwork liven up the room.
