Green Remodel
The owners of this 1941 brick colonial home wanted to remodel their home in as ecologically responsible a manner as possible. Existing energy efficient appliances, lights and plumbing fixtures were repurposed throughout the home. Colorful recycled glass and paperstone countertops liven up the kitchen.
With a minimal ten-foot encroachment onto the backyard the new kitchen hosts children and friends with plenty of open storage in the mudroom. Rooms are happily painted with lots of red, yellow, violet and blue making this a very colorfully green and friendly home.
